Kerala has been building its IT sector since 1990, when Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram became India's first technology park. Today the state has two major clusters — Technopark and Infopark in Kochi — hosting hundreds of companies and tens of thousands of professionals.

English proficiency

Kerala has one of India's highest literacy rates. Communication with European clients is generally straightforward.

Stability

Employee retention in Kerala IT tends to be higher than in Bangalore or Hyderabad. The team you start with is usually the team you end up with.

Scale

The mid-market companies — 200 to 1,000 people — are large enough to take on serious projects, small enough to give you real attention.

Cost

Significantly below Western Europe, and competitive within India.
